This was the first masters in which I could enter over-65's.

I arrived by Flixbus from Triests, having caught the train from Pescare where I disambarked from my sailing holiday. As the bus got in at 10:45, I caught a taxi to the hotel, arriving just as the reception was closing.
Klaus Herold gave me a lift home.

There were 13 German participants: 4 winners, 8 medals!
- Thomas Grübel won Mens over 50's, Farman came third.
- Iris Stockbauer won Ladies over 50's,
- Uwe Peters won the Mens Over-60's, Armin Schmelz came 3rd.
- I won Mens over-65's, Peter Höfling came second.
- Yehia Semeda came second in the Mens Over 45.
