Edinburgh

Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland. The city is located in southeast Scotland and is bounded to the north by the Firth of Forth and to the south by the Pentland Hills. Edinburgh had a population of 506,520 in 2020, making it the second-most populous city in Scotland behind Glasgow.

Proposed itenary is to start at Edinburgh Castle, walk down the Royal Mile, stopping at whatever takes our fancy eg. National Museum, Scotch Whisky Experience, Museum of Edinburgh, The Chocolatarium, St. Giles Cathedral. On reaching Holyrood Palace at the end of the "mile", we could walk up to Arthurs Seat for a panoramic view of the city.
