Route
We spent 2 weeks doin the classis tourist figure-of-8, then 1 week in log huts on the Kenai Pininsula
Fauna
We were lucky enough to see not only grizzlies, caribou, moose, bald-headed eagles and sea otters, but also the rare lynx!
Transport
We hired a 10-metre camper van, with extendible side-walls and diesel-powered generator: independent & autarque!
Conclusion
Fantastic holiday - Highly recommended - but not cheap! Next time we'd like to spend more time on the maritime highway & visit Katmai to see more bears.
